Nepal Earthquake Toll Surpasses 3000
Search and rescue efforts appear to have been stepped up in Nepal as countries like Britain, Pakistan, China and India have joined disaster relief efforts after a massive earthquake toppled thousands of homes.
The government of Nepal continues to issue appeals for more international assistance before shortage of water and disease worsens the crisis.
